We started JSC Nursery in 2000 in small town Estill Springs, TN. For those that have never heard of Estill Springs, it is nestled in the foothills of the Cumberland Plateau roughly halfway between Chattanooga and Nashville. Here at JSC Nursery we are sure to have something for everyone, no matter what your needs may be. Whether you are looking for something for your nursery, landscape, or contracting needs, we can provide quality shade, ornamental, and evergreen trees in the form of container plants, B&B, or liners. We pride ourselves in both the quality and quantity of our trees, and we stand by these principles on every sale we make.
Meet the Family!
James Cavett-- I am the founder/owner of JSC Nursery, and I have loved being in the nursery business for more than 28 years now. I first started out as a grower of ornamental trees and as a landscaper, and after a few years of this work, I realized I had a true talent in the methods of growing excellent, quality trees. It was at this point that I decided to make being a nurseryman my career. In 1981, I began working at S&W Nursery, a business operated by my father-in-law Joe Frame, and after many successful and happy years working for him, I decided to start my own nursery. Ever since then, my business has continued to grow and prosper with each year, and now I am very proudly advertising and marketing my Shelina's Beauty Maple. I love my work, and I am very thankful for all the blessings I have received and continue to receive.
Shellie Cavett-- Shellie is my wife of 26 wonderful years. She is my best friend, and without her love and constant support behind me my business would not be what it is today. She works behind the scenes to make sure everything gets done.
Celina Benere-- Celina (a.k.a. Shortcake) is my beautiful daughter. In 2007 she graduated with honors from the University of the South with a degree in Biochemistry. She minored in Spanish, and now she teaches Spanish at Franklin County High School in Winchester, TN. She also coaches the cheerleaders there, and this past June, she as married to Grant Benere. In her free time, she helps me advertise and market my business.
Grant Benere-- I'm proud to say Grant is my son-in-law. He graduated from the University of the South in 2007 with a major in Economics and a minor in Political Science. He is employed at the Stewart Insurance Agency in Winchester, TN where he sells insurance. Grant is my CFO and he also helps me with the advertising and marketing of my business in his free time.
Spud and Tater-- Don't let me forget to mention our pets. Spud is an 8 year old Jack Russell, and Tater is a one year old Puggle. They make the days more enjoyable because they can always put a smile on our faces
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us a little bit better. We hope to also get to know you, and in the meantime, take care and God Bless!
